Housing
Interns live together at the www.OakwoodToluca.com in Toluca Lake, a centrally located, extended stay apartment complex. This resort-like community has tennis courts, two heated pools, spa, workout facilities, business center and coin operated laundry facilities. Located in the up-scale Toluca Lake area, Oakwood is safe with gated grounds and a guard booth at the entrance.
The spacious apartments come fully loaded with dishes, pots and pans, bed and bath linens, alarm clocks, telephones with voice mail, and television with basic cable. Interns only need to bring their clothes and toiletries.
The Ladder Program has negotiated special rates with Oakwood to make housing as affordable as possible. Rates are based on four interns sharing a two bedroom / two bathroom apartment.

Transportation
Students must have a car to participate in The Ladder Program. While there are subways and buses, the public transportation system does not provide the reliability and flexibility needed for interns to successfully navigate Los Angeles.
A student may drive their own car from Utah or rent a car in Los Angeles. For those students driving from Utah to Los Angeles, the monthly workshops will address caravanning, directions and timing. |
